I watched Hammerfall's 'Gates of Dalhalla' DVD last night. I have a couple of issues with it.
Firstly, the location was spectacular and all that, but I would be pretty pissed if I bought a ticket to a band's 15th anniversary show and found out that there was an expanse of water separating me from the stage.
Then there's the fact that it was an all-seated show which looked silly in broad daylight on a Metal band's DVD, especially since it wasn't close to being sold out.
Once it got dark the DVD was a lot better and the rain during 'Glory to the Brave' was a lucky add on. It was pretty cool to see the former band members get on stage with them (I wonder if Maiden if ever do that...) and I really want to know who that blonde chick was that was following the camera across the stage during 'Hearts on Fire'.
