Watching Star Trek TOS "The Apple". Red shirts getting killed at an alarming rate. 15 minutes in and 3 dead already! Poison plants, insane lightening, and landmine rocks. TOS rocks.

Watched Black Dynamite yesterday. This movie is a quote goldmine.

- I do two things: take money from bitches, and sell drugs to the community
- Anaconda Malt Liquor gives you a little dick! Should we kill him??

 priceless!

Yeah, whatever. The bottom line is Lombardo is not in Slayer anymore and just thinking about it breaks my heart.

So does that mean that ultimately, a metal band can't exist for more than thirty or forty years before it loses its integrity and falls apart over business quarrels?

I always mention Maiden as an example of a band that never had any big scandals associated with them, except stuff like Ozzfest. No overdoses, no rehabs, no arrests, no money feuds. As far as we know, of course.

I can really only clinch to the idea that Maiden have a collective identity as artists that is far stronger than their existence as a business. If that should prove to be wrong, the last bit of faith in humanity inside of me would be lost.

All my life I've run astray
Let my faith slip away
All my life I've run astray
Allowed my faith to drift away

I got myself a salad at the supermarket, and it came with this plastic fork:
