Initially, people protested against electricity providing companies because most people's electricity bills for January were 50%-100% higher than the previous month. The companies are monopolists and each of them provides for a different part of the country, so we have no choice. After a few days of peaceful demonstrations, things suddenly took a different direction, as various parties started to take advantage of the situation and put the blame on the government. So the masses followed and the protests turned into riots and the government resigned. Now everyone is shocked because this was possibly the best government we had in 23 years. How stupid can people be?

That sounds pretty stupid indeed. Is a few party pinpoints all it takes to overthrow a government? I'm afraid. Very afraid.

Awesome morning. First I got the biggest child support payment ever. Then I turn on the computer and first thing in the news is that Slayer's coming here in June :edmetal:

For the last week or so, I've been feeling like I'm going to get ill, then the feeling goes away, then it comes back.

Then again, maybe I should thank my body for doing its utmost to keep me fit till I get all the things done that need to get done. I really can't afford to get ill before mid-March.

Eat lots of vitamin C!! don't get sick!

Well - above a certain limit additional vitamin C (and other water-soluble nutrients) will just be separated out in the kidneys. In other words, expensive urine. And although it is well known that vitamin C and other antioxidants are necessary for the body, there is little evidence to back up the idea that they can stop an infectoin which is already under way. They don't boost the immune system.

In fact, the best way to avoid getting sick when something is on its way, is rest. Stress forces the body to spend energy on other things than fighting the infection.
