I do think the video to Ohne Dich is great - in that it shows how the lyrics can be taken to be about any loss, not particularly a spouse/girlfriend.

And it must be one of very few music videos - let alone metal videos - that feature mountain climbing?
 
I'll say this, they really did manage to turn an aphorism - can't live with you, can't live without you - into a very beautiful German lyric.
 
I hope that by that time, I'll be starting to live a settled life while still being able to hold fast to my ideals. But realistically, I expect Europe to be drowning in chaos or maybe even war, and I will either be a conscript, or a refugee.

I'm a pessimist. I'll put it this way: There are enough reasons to believe that people are reasonable enough to avoid something like this, and just as many to believe they aren't.
