2008 : Turkey becomes "comeback kings" in Euro 2008, loses to Germany with a dramatic (and ironic) last minute goal in the semi finals.
 
17 years since I became a fan, Maiden played my favourite song (Rime of the Ancient Mariner).
This is also the year I met some great people from the forum, for the first time (Perun & national acrobat) @ the Wacken festival.
 
Oh, man, me to, Foro! I thought I'd never see Rime live! That was freaking awesome! Second concert of Maiden's that my son and I went to together.
 
17 times. Not that many as lots of diehard fans, but I saw many different tours (13).

1992, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003 (Give Me Ed..), 2003 (DoD), 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 (2 x), 2010, 2011 (4 x)

It wasn't until I met some Maidenfans people when I wanted to see them more than once on the same tour (2008, 2011 and coming up: 2013).

I saw every Dutch gig since 1992 apart from 1993 and 1996. I missed 1993 due to personal problems (a terrible experience, because it was Bruce's farewell gig) and 1996 for some unknown reason (probably because I didn't want to go to a festival alone back then).

My foreign gigs:
2008: Wacken Open Air
2011: Berlin, and 2x London (last two gigs of The Final Frontier Tour)

@Wasted: I also never expected to ever see Rime. What a moment that was!
 
First gig, age 17. Now I am 37, still a longhaired headbanger but with grey hair coming up.
