Not really, the way we look after Atatürk's ideologies as a youth can be misinterpreted by whom who don't live in Turkey. Atatürk is a symbol of modernization, freedom and justice for us and that values much much more nowadays. Not the topic, though.
Yeah, but it stands for something. It's still a representation of an ideology and this is not pure fashion.
When I started working I used to wear suits and ties a lot, and hated wearing them. Now, everyone in LA is casual, so I only dress up for court appearances and certain social functions. Even clients tell me not to wear a suit to meetings. So now, when I do get to wear a nice suit, I like it. I'm still amazed that the necktie has persisted as a fashion staple for men. It's silly and pointless, and a nice scarf would probably look better.
Okay, maybe you see it in a different way there.Yes but that's not what I argue with. Wearing a necklace that has Atatürk's portrait carved on it is not idolatry here. It's way different.
One day, Flash, we have to talk about Atatürk. Not now. But some day.
It'd be my pleasure.
But please remember, my doctorate is not even remotely related to medicine
"I'm a doctor, not a medic!"
