At my job, as an IT guy, our dress code was shirt and tie. I worked for a year to get that changed to a polo shirt instead. But, every now and then I'll wear a tie, because they look awesome and I like them. they just suck to be working on computers while wearing...

I just bought a new one yesterday.

Don't forget the 1979 release of UFO's Strangers in the Night. Which has a version of Doctor Doctor that all Maiden fans should know and love :shred:

The pain was really small and it went away with about 20 minutes but since you mentioned the heart, I have a feeling my pulse has been faster than usual but that could VERY likely be just me being paranoid.

Most likely, yes :D The slightest anxiety is sufficient to raise the heart rate.

And here comes the great 1980! It's great, because I was born then, of course. And I was just a month old, when Adrian Smith joined the band.

I'm used to hearing foreigners not liking him and that's not going to change the way I see him anyways. Would like to talk.

The question is, how many of those foreigners have a degree in Orientalistics? I don't mean to flatter myself, but I know that and why the Turks love him... it doesn't change my opinion, though.

I'll warn you though, you are not going to like my opinion of him.

1979: Khomeini returns to Iran, the NATO Double-Track Decision paves the way for stationing Pershing-2 missiles in West Germany, the Soviet Union invades Afghanistan. KISS release I was Made for Loving You, Iron Maiden release the Soundhouse Tapes, and Queen put out their first live album, Live Killers. Star Trek: The Motion Picture becomes the last movie to have a musical overture, and my parents get married.

I Was Made For Loving You really killed Kiss IMO .. you saw the Kiss shirts disappear overnight when they released that piece of crap. Star Trek movie was pretty bad too . what a snoozefest.

Having a degree in Orientalistics has nothing to do with understanding Atatürk's ideologies and his image. You probably think why we like him is that he succeeded in the Turkish War of Independence and that he founded the Republic of Turkey and he battled with imperialism of the West. No, there's so much more to that. Not the time to talk though, I guess.

See, you are already making false assumptions about me.
