Mondays are weird. Today is a holiday here (Veterans Day); the bank is closed, but insurance is open. So I have to be here-- but it is nice and quiet and pretty easy today...

But still have deadlines to meet, so not-so-technically I am working.

Well, I DO work for a retail store and stores don't close for Veterans Day... Guess I can't be too angry... But it is Monday and that's still enough! Grr...

I do NOT miss (most of) retail! I liked selling motorcycles, but parts was horrible. People are pushy, have no idea of what they have or what they want and won't listen to advice.... Hours suck, time off sucks.

I like working for a bank/insurance company as support.... easy holidays, easy time off....

I surprise myself that I'm able to do my job like I do. I do customer service for a pet store but we also do mail order so I get to talk to people on the phone all day and you always get a mixed batch of people...

EDIT: We also get to deal with the most shittiest computer system ever! Fun times...

That's the worst part of working with people - having to put up with all their moods and personal projections on you.

I'm just glad I only deal with them over the phone and not in person... That would be a real problem for me.
