I didn't say Road Runner. I said Wile E. Coyote, who also appeared (as Ralph Wolf) in the Wolf and Sheepdog cartoons, plus a handful of appearances with Bugs. (One of which provided the name for my band, Supergenius.)
Furthermore, the Road Runner / Coyote cartoons were among the most innovative animation ever produced in America for their time. Watch them in sequence (i.e. order of production) and you'll see (for example) how the backgrounds evolved from mostly-realistic desert scenes to something bordering on abstract art. Also consider how much more difficult it is to give a full personality to a character who never speaks, and how much more interesting it is when the main interest of the audience is vested in the ostensible villain.
You want something to help you turn your brain off for a while? Watch any animation made for TV.
You want art? Watch something directed by Chuck Jones.
