Spending new years day afternoon in the ER with the son waiting for his appendectomy.

Oh shit man. Emergency appendectomy?

Yeah- he wasn't feeling well yesterday and today had a lot of pain. Went to the er and found the appendix swollen. So, he's heading in right now. Should be done in an hour or so, then home tomorrow (barring any unforeseen circumstances).

I'm glad they caught it now. Good call on taking him in. I hope he feels well soon, man.

Thanks! Well, I can't take credit, he self diagnosed with webMD. I came home from the store to him telling me what was going on! He is out of surgery, all went well. We are waiting to be let in to see him, he can come home tomorrow! Phew.
