Probably could get a good hour and a half with a Kirk vs. Picard lecture.

I guess I could find a few topics where it would be easy for me to fill 45 minutes as well.

"Energy consumption in alternative technologies for CO2 capture" is not one of them. However, that is the topic I've been given for my trial lecture before the PhD defense proper. Filling up the last 45 minutes is easy, because that part is about my own work. However, I am a bit of a perfectionist, so it will take time anyway.

It's obviously Picard.

I wasn't aware there was another option.

After rewatching the entire run of TNG I realized how very much the Jean-Luc Picard character has formed my moral compass. I am very similar in the way I do things to how Picard is - litigious, fair, dutiful. This is not a bad thing.

More importantly, do you also believe in not butchering Bohemian Rhapsody?

Watching Turkey-Croatia football game on the Euro 2012 Playoffs. Ivica Olic scored an early goal and the visitors got the advantage. I don't care if we lose 10-0 today, all I want to see is good football and goals. Because we didn't really deserve a spot in Euro 2012 anyway.
