Anyone still play MW2 online?
The original Unreal Tournament is still the one and only choice for me when it comes to online shooters.

I've found MW2 and all other Call of Duty games boring, overscripted and way too easy. I don't understand how anyone can play them.

Alright. For penance I'll check out Elder Scrolls.
Stay away from the first two games, though.

I think it's because games like that are meant for the multiplayer.

Never really enjoyed the multiplayer either. I prefer my multiplayer shooters fast paced and good, varying and balanced arsenal.

Morrowind is my favourite game of all-time, so I'm eagerly awaiting ESV. Oblivion was a slight dissapointment, but thats just because I hyped it up too much. I finished every quest and got all levels to 100 on it anyway, as well as starting up several other characters :p

But Morrowind was just magical. The game world was so much more imaginative, same with the creatures, the dialogue was fantastic, the quests were amazing, the towns each had their own personality. And there was no level scaling. I got Morrowind when I was 7 or 8, and for 5 years of playing I had never gone outside of The Ascadian Isles or The Bitter Coast, except for short forays to eastern side towns. It was because I always had a sense that it was too big, too powerful for me - something I never got with Oblivion. The Shivering Isles was awesome though (the game world).

I was messing about on the Internet archive "waybackmachine" site and looked at Maidens official site from 1998. They had a news piece called "MAIDEN ONSLAUGHT FOR '98" which I clicked on and Bruce's name caught my eye. So I read that bit:

RUMOR CONTROL. There are still loads of rumors flying around that Blaze has Quit the band or that the Maiden are splitting up. This completely UNTRUE. Iron Maiden are as strong and together as ever before. The whole band are really looking forward to finishing the album and getting back out on the road.

There have been many reports of a Maiden reunion with Bruce Dickinson. This is also completely UNTRUE and is probably linked to Bruce's new album and tour with Adrian Smith.

So if you want to keep up with the 'rumor free' news on Maiden, keep checking our site or maybe you might want to join the fan club.

Can't the last chapter of my thesis write itself?

I'm fucking tired.

I hear you. I've got my oral BA exam tomorrow. And still no news from Edinburgh.

The last chapter is always the longest. No part of a journey is as hard as the one where you can already see the goal. In that sense: Carry On!

True. This chapter is going to take some effort to finish. However, finishing it involves doing a lot of computer simulations that give me time to polish the other parts of the thesis. Like the conclusion chapter, acknowledgements, introduction, and of course proofreading.

When I have submitted the thesis, I'm not completely sure what I'll do. There are two options:

1. Go straight home and sleep for 24 hours.
2. Go to a pub, get some people to join me and get drunk, then sleep for 24 hours.

Since I plan to submit this beast on my birthday, I really hope I have the energy to go with option 2.

Wrapped in a bloody sheet a squalling brat was carried out to the balcony
And shown to the people with a ringing of bells.
And it was war and it had a thousand fathers.
Now there's blood on the streets again...
