As for me, four hours till my oral exam. It's not a big deal, but I am getting nervous.
 
Good luck with that. How thorough is such an exam for a bachelor's degree (or a master's degree)? Comparable to the torment a PhD candidate must go through?

Digression: That torment varies widely. I have witnessed PhD defenses where the opponents spend more than one hour each, questioning the candidate, and I've witnessed defenses where everything has been over in two hours (yes, including the candidate's own presentation of his work)

Probably not. I've been told it takes half an hour at max, with five minutes spent talking about your dissertation and the rest being a defence. It's only worth 3 credit points (the dissertation itself being 12), so it's not worth much fuss.

I feel better, but not well. When I move, my insides feel full. The weird thing is that I've been having regular movements, so I'm not technically constipated - there's a buildup at the entrance to my colon, apparently. It fucking hurts like a boss.

Yes, that's pretty much it. There is lots of pain, so induction has occurred.

I'm not very happy right now, and I feel better. But it's gotta keep moving...eating bran right now.

As for me: BA orals done, I've got a BA of "SEHR GUT" which means something like "A" (whether "A" or "A+" wasn't clear). In any case, that was worth inviting my mates for 80 Euros worth of booze today. And the weekend hasn't even started yet. :cheers:

I am against torture. However, I make exceptions for those who make computer viruses. Just spent a perfectly good working hour on getting rid of the "Personal Shield Pro" fake anti-virus. Where it came from, I don't know - I haven't downloaded anything suspicious lately - but if I ever get to meet the wanker who programmed it, I will look to the execution scene from Braveheart for inspiration.
