I'm giving The Fourth Legacy by Kamelot a spin. That's the album that really got me into the band. It's fantastic.

Fantastic album. The first I heard, and all others I heard after that I found worse.

Clarence from the E Street band died today. I'm surprised no one has mentioned if at all. This is very sad news. :(

Very sad. I was listening to some Springsteen the day of his stroke. I was hoping for him to pull through, and when I heard the news this morning I was in total shock.

Yeah, I don't think his stroke was very well covered by the media. The only time I heard it mentioned was at about 1 am in my local news live update from Bonnaroo.

I have been listening to Opeth's Blackwater Park of late and I have to say it's a bloody good album. I guess some will say they have done better, I can't say as I've not heard much more than this - but if they have done better, I'm up for more Opeth!

Have you listened to Watershed?  I really like that album quite a bit.

I also strongly recommend Ghost Reveries, which is the album that immediately preceded Watershed.  I think it may even surpass Blackwater Park in quality and creativity, if not historical significance.  There are very few people I'd call a genius, but Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth is a musical genius.  I can't write enough good things about Opeth, even though I don't like cookie monster vocals, which they employ more than I would prefer.

That is a shame.  I knew about the stroke, but saw a report suggesting he was likely to recover, which made the news of his death a sad surprise.  RIP Big Man.

Just listened to a great song from Powerslave. Guess which one.
