Also, thanks for the Gettysburg help, LC. My teacher said that we did really good. We presented today.

Hey LC, a few members of my daughter's volleyball team got to chat with your old buddy Stevie Harper this weekend.

Glad to hear it went well. You should send me your presentation.

yup. I had Heth Vs Buford on there too but for some reason I couldn't find anything on it.

McPherson's Ridge. Buford scouted Heth's Division coming down the Chambersburg Pike and deployed in line on a wood fence to force Heth in a line and slow them up. He was concerned that Heth was the advance of the ANV and that they'd get between the AotP and DC. Basically, Buford realized that he was in the best spot to fight, and did so. Smart man.

How important was that for Gettysburg?

Edit: The grade was just put in. It's a high B.  :ok:

Oh that is very important. Had I found information I would've left it in.

@mckindog, was that cool?
My daughter's vocal director for chorus's last name is Vedder. Wonder if that's Eddie's mom...

First full days of taking phone calls completed, went really well for me. I'm sure there'll be some rough ones coming up though.

@ Wasted.
I wasn't there but the kids were saying he stopped, asked them where they were from and about the medals they had won before security hustled him off.
They were impressed with his friendliness — a quality I'd never noticed he possessed.
His son was playing in the same tournament and the family was there watching — just being regular parents for the day.
Some of you will know Rick Hansen, the Canadian who rolled his wheelchair around the world. He was there with his daughter too.
Now that guy's a real Canadian hero.
