That deserved two thumbs up!

I learned today that Truecrypt disk encryption doesn't play nicely with SSD's.

For some reason, once encrypted, Win7 starts spitting out ESENT errors and it locks up for a minute or two. PGP works with no problem, however. I've used Truecrypt on HDDs with no problem, so it has to be some SSD problem.

The tour dates for Rockstar Uproar need to be mentioned SOON!
Indeed. I don't mind most of the bands but I've always wanted to see A7X live.

Not sure if you are thinking of this one:

Maybe, maybe not - but that has been posted here before.
yup that is it. And it certainly looks like Remi. Is this from the 2002 Coupe De France? If it is, then it is definitely Remi.

I saw A7X back in 2008. They are amazing live! I hope they come your way Mosh. :)
you got to see them with Rev! They came my way last year but I had to miss that <_<. I definitely want to see it just to see them perform Save Me and Little Piece Of Heaven  :edmetal:

I'm not sure which of them is better at handling balls, but I'm quite sure Halford sings better.

Best post I've seen here in ages.

Seriously, is it me or are there absolutely no interesting threads here at the moment?

Amazing.

Yesterday, the entire city was in chaos because there was a cable fire in the most important transport hub. Apparently, the entire eastern half of Berlin and its suburbs were cut off, and the impact was felt in the entire city. It was basically a collapse of public transit. Yet again a complete failure of the S-Bahn train service (yet again, because that thing is so run-down it has been in total chaos for two years now).

Turns out that it was a case of arson, and a leftist group calling itself "The grudge of Eyjafjallajökull" was responsible. They posted a note containing a totally confused reasoning about arms proliferation and nuclear power and waste transport.

While nobody has been hurt as a direct consequence of this act (apparently, there have been several car crashes on the motorways in and around the town due do increased traffic), is this anything other than terrorism?

Coupe De France? No, considering the team picture is of Manchester United that's very unlikely  :D It was a Champions League match in 2001 between United and Bayern München.

No, it is nothing other than terrorism. Attacking public services for making a political statement, potentially harming many people, that is close to the definition of terrorism. It may not be as dramatic as airplane hijacking or car bombs, but it is terrorism nevertheless.

I'd say that paralysing a region with 6 million inhabitants is more dramatic than a car bomb...

You're right. Dramatic was the wrong word. This attack on the train system could also potentially have killed people, just like a car bomb.

I hope the police finds those responsible - I guess they'll have to serve a fairly long prison sentence if they're caught?

I don't know very much about legal issues. I suppose they will be tried for arson, the sentence for which according to Wikipedia is apparently 10 years in prison (the article is full of §s and numbers, so I may have missed something because this stuff is unintelligible for me).
