I'm glad it's going so well, Perun. Make some money and come party in Canada!

And yeah, absolutely, it's got double the ram, etc.

ARe you running 64bit?  Do you know, when a MoBo says 16GB ram (64b) does that include the video cards, or is it just speaking of the ram slots?
I kinda like a fat bottom girl on occasion.  ;)

Classic!  I love the sci-fi feel to it.

One of the parts that I enjoyed, back in the beginning, was the part where he kills himself (my life's blood spills over) and then the 'elder race' returns to take control, so you know that the music would live again.  I liked how they pointed out that you should never give up, cause you never know when you'll get what you want.

It's a great story told with great music by a great band. It has so much meaning, including what you pointed out. I never get tired of it.

I would, if I wouldn't need that money for my academic future. But, I'll be over sooner than you'd like it.

You are correct.  And, really, what a land mark album for a fourth album!

We were in the car the other day, and something by Queen was on (I don't recall which) and half way through, my youngest said, "Wait, is that a boy singing?".  Classic.

:D

In Germany, having tapes of radio plays is very popular for children, and they would often do plays for comics and TV serials (sometimes they were the original recordings used in the programme, but with a narrator filling you in on what you couldn't see). I used to have a few of Ducktales and the Ghostbusters cartoon, which were my favourite, and I also had Flash Gordon ones. They had nothing to do with the film, but seemed to be part of the franchise, because they used similar artwork on the covers and were always introduced with a segment of the Queen song. I always had this image of a singing female choir before my eyes, and it took me ages to realise that the song was done by the same guys who did We are the Champions.

Anyway, I'm off to a party. See you around!  :shred:

That's great, building up a resume of knowledge and contacts.  It will serve you well.

That was the hardest thing for me, leaving the motorcycle industry-- starting over, trying to fill a new knowledge and contact base.  Phew, its difficult to be the n00b, instead of the old timer.

Playing with FF4, I kinda like it!  'Cleaner' than 3.6 was.
FF4 already?!?! I just got 3.6! I'll check it out later.

I am running 64 bit...VRAM is excluded from that, unless it's an onboard chipset.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. Thanks!
I had thought that was the case, but I was getting mixed up with the 4GB ram limit by the 32B system.

Meh.

I'm still fucking around with drivers for the Vaio.

So after hearing a ton about this Rebecca Black Friday thing, I had to see what everyone was getting worked up about.

The music industry is officially dead

Didn't it die when they decided to give Miley Cyrus a career?

Yeah, the tabs are at the very top, there is less 'junk' around.

Albie, do you have any problems with playing videos in 'full screen' mode?  every time I try to go to full screen, the audio continues and the video just freezes.
Not seen that problem, seemed OK to me. As for the tabs, there is a setting to swap it by un-checking "Tabs on top" in View > Toolbars. This is checked by default and when checked, it seems to cause another issue - the F6 key toggles between the Tabs and main window (rather than address bar and main window). After un-checking that, the F6 behaves as I'm used to it behaving.

To be honest: Yes, the song is horrible and dumb, and it may be one of the worst songs ever... but somehow, it's a bit like how my mates' cats always take my shoes apart when I'm over. It's annoying and a bad habit, but it's also kind of adorable. I can't hate that song because it is so naively harmless. I mean, it's a thirteen year-old girl who believes she figured out what the world is about and sings a song about it. She can't sing and somebody gave her money for it. Things happen.

Honestly, I'm pretty ok with the tabs at the top.  Funny, I was playing with some different lappys yesterday, and I like ff4 on my mac a little better than on an xp machine-- the fonts are a little nicer, and the bookmark bar is a little nicer.  weird.

My video problem with Ubuntu seems to be a flash thing.  I dunno, but if I'm watching a youtube video and I click 'full screen' it never works.  I'll just hafta putz around with it and see what I get.

So, last night I was talking to this girl I had met a few months ago. We both seemed to take a liking to each other back then, but somehow lost contact and saw each other again last night - in the meantime, some other guy got her. Anyway, she was saying something about men and how we are all the same and all that... to which I replied: "I'm sorry that I'm a guy." She answered: "I know enough about you from last time that I know that isn't true." I could have married her on the spot. Some women just have it.
