I decided to start on a new project - the top 100 generals of all time. I'm wondering how well I'll do with making it a good spread of culture and histories. I think I'm doing pretty good so far.
I'm very torn over who #1 will be. I'm really trying to expand this list...I haven't even looked at Asian traditions yet. I DO know that Cao Cao will be up there, in the top 20, and it will be hard to keep a lot of Mongols out of the top 10.
I haven't gotten to Swedish history yet. I'm currently working in Japan.
Western history was easy, hell, I can name all the major American generals ever by rote. Most of the British and German ones too. And a handful of Roman, the Greeks...a lot of the later Russians.
But it's also a project to help me learn more.All that being said, Gustav II Adolf is probably a top 20 candidate.
