Very true. I mean, just because Bruce can sing better than most people, pilot a commercial aircraft, fence to Olympic standard and write some pretty amazing songs with brilliant lyrics it does not make him any more awesome than the Maidenfans collective.

Meh. Irony is amusing, in this case it's just stupidity.

Systematic cleaning of my friend list onf Facebook. When you find that you can't stand a quarter of the people there, and don't even know another quarter, you realize there's something wrong on the fundamental level.
which is why I don't use facebook

I think it does. Bruce's singing is very good, especially on songs like Aces High even though I don't like it, it is my favorite song and not even I can sing as good as him. :innocent:

and weather or not you realise it, not only is he a great singer, he is also a world class pilot

We sre talking about the cat that replaced Blaze, right?  He had a pretty OK career with Samson, but he's no Thousand_Suns.

Yeah, the way he does Flight of Icarus is just mind-boggling.

I could imagine.  :D

So, after my vegan curry yesterday turned out well, I decided on trying something completely new and am making a yoghurt-based stew right now. It, too, doesn't seem to be too bad, but seeing how I don't have very much experience with yoghurt, there might be a nasty surprise at the end.

Incidentally, Farhang, since you are Persian, do you have any idea how to get that rice crust all my friends keep raving about without a proper rice cooker?

To be quite honest with you, I know nothing about cooking.

But since you have yoghurt why don't you make some "Doogh"? It's one of my favorite drinks and taste good specially with any type of Kebabs or stew.

You need a jug, feel about half of it with natural yoghurt. The rest with cold water (Don't add Ice it will ruin it), add salt (depends on you, I'd add a lot of salt), in the end add some Dried mint (Again depends on you, taste until you reach a perfect taste). Mix until it becomes set. If it feels watery, add more yoghurt and mix again. And remember it must be served cold. (Be warned it's like the opposite of coffee, you'll feel sleepy after drinking much!)

:)

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Doogh was actually one of the first Persian words I ever learned, but I never tried it. Although I have been told it's similar to ayran.

Incidentally, my stew was OK but I shouldn't have added the cucumber.  <_<

Now it's back to my bachelor thesis...

Above the ground, which is not the sky, the sun is breaking up.
A man who is old, not old, on the hill stands
The ground is not warmed by the rays of first light
A song, the bird, still is shattered

Just finished Moving Pictures, so I figured I may as well listen to the other Rush album I've got, Hemisphere. Just started.

Moving Pirctures is a good album, but I rarely listen to it and it didn't really made me run out of the house to buy their entire discography, so to speak.
