Hi.

Guys I have a few burning questions but since they sound too stupid, I didn't want to ask it but now I want to give it a shot.

Well some of you know that I suck living in Iran and I will probably never see Maiden live before my death (which is a shame since it's my biggest wish), I want to know something about their shows/concerts.

First I want to know how much does a ticket usually cost and I want to know what percent of people in a show usually know the lyrics to sing alongside Bruce.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

PS: Sorry for my bad English.  :blush:

Farhang: Czech Republic here, in 2008 the tickets were about $80. This year they come to festival with other bands (shame, cos I'm not interested in them), so the tickets are much more expensive.

Some people know lyrics to some of the famous songs, but in our country general knowledge of English is kinda sucky..

I guess there IS someone in the world with less of a chance of seeing them than me ;)

I have ZERO chance of seeing them. I hope they have tours on the other world as well. That way I MAY be able to see them.

@mtmccox:

Thanks a lot!!! Really appreciate it.  :)

Farhang, it depends on your personal affluence. Hopefully, you are able to get out to see them. Who knows…Maiden could play Tehran before they go.

Thanks LC but for some security reasons, I can't leave this country. THAT is unless I pay some people a huge pile of money which I don't have.

I`m just a poor high-school teacher for goodness's sake.

I don't care if I die after the show. I just want to be in a Maiden concert. (Can you hear me God?)

:(

@LC:
I know. But I`m not gonna be around forever too.

I have some friends in the army/military/etc... I don't think the current regime will go anytime soon.

Sometime I doubt if there's even a God. People usually ask for money or wealth or ... I`m asking him for being in a 2 hour concert like thousands of people around the world since I was 17. Never asked for anything else.

Seriously, do tell me, is this too much to want?

@NightProwler666:
I don't want to start a conversation cause I hate politics, but Iranians are lot different than Egyptians. Those Egyptians stood in that square for days. Iranians just go out, see some army guys, get scared, come back home.
In short, Iranians don't have the guts to do what Egyptians did.

That's a pretty weak way to disprove god, but okay.

Made some pizza with pastrami. Hope it turns out good.

Btw, the government have blocked almost 90% of the Internet because of yesterday's protests. So I can either come to this Forum or check my Mail.

And I`m paying $110/month for my connection.

Gotta love living in this country.

*sigh*

Sounds craptastic.

I only read about Iran in the papers, and honestly have no idea how life is over there.

Mega, let me give you some hints:

1. When you type "www.YouTube.com" in your browser, a page pops and says "According to the laws of Islamic Republic of Iran, visiting this page is forbidden!"
2. Drinking all types of alcoholic beverage are forbidden and if they catch you with a bottle, you have to go to jail. No matter what age you are.
3. It cost me $200 and three weeks to receive a copy of "The Final Frontier" from a friend in Malaysia. I get paid $250 per month.
4. Even though I studied Industrial Engineering in college, I had to pass 4 classes of Arabic Language plus two classes of reading Qur'an and two classes of learning about Imam Khomeini's life (The leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran).
5. Coworkers usually call me "Devil worshiper" and reject me because I only listen to Iron Maiden and ask me be more Islamic. (At first I thought they were joking but now I know they are serious cause one of them beat me once)
6. Everything is so damn expensive. I`m trying to save for a car for years now and still no luck.
7. My friend went for a job interview in Airport. He passed all the tests with the highest possible results but they didn't accept him because he didn't read the Qur'an correctly with Arabic accent.

So what I'm reading about religious oppression is true.

That's bullshit, it truely is. I hope that damn Ahmadinejad gets kicked out soon. Iran needs a revolution like the one happening in Egypt.

Farhang don't give up.

We know what's going on (now I only hope EU and USA will put more pressure on your government):

Today I saw insane footage of Iranian parliament where a huge group of politicians screamed that Musavi + other opposition leader had to be executed.

@ Forostar:

Yeah, Mousavi & Karroubi are done. All the TV channels here are saying that those two are the root of the anti-Islamic protests and must be judged.

By the way, With my little knowledge of Audio editing, I`m making some Maiden ringtone and message tones. I want to know if it's alright to post them here.
