What we also have is the roaming profile. The theory is, no matter what PC you log on to, it should be the same - but only if the PC has the same software that is on your normal PC. For 95% of users it is, but for those that work in IT it's not. We have tools that we don't want others to have. Obviously.

Yeah, that makes sense.  Right now, half the company is allowed to set up their own screen savers and wall papers, some odds and ends like that.  Very few local admins.  We can log in anywhere with our usernames, and all of the net drives will follow.  But its not fully 'roaming'.  I think we'd like that to change soon.

Our PC's are so locked down, the right-mouse-click is disabled. There is so little they can change.
 
I hate IT deptartments.
You go inside and you find all IT people either chating in msn, or downloading, or porn-larking, or whatever they forbid you to do.
