If you are supposed to have at least some technical knowhow? You should be able to figure it out.

Had a really negative experience today at a Dark Tranquillity gig.  A girl tried to push her way through the crowd to my front (I was in the second row).  I resisted by standing my ground instead of making way, and this psycho bitch literally assaulted me, by scratching and hitting my back and neck.  All this while the band was playing.  If it had been a guy, I'd probably have defended myself, but since it was a girl I just had to take the blows.  Later, I saw the same girl give the same treatment to a guy a few places to my right, and eventually got his place by physically dragging him down.  It was a completely WTF situation, I've never seen that kind of shit in three years of metal gigs.

Was an awesome gig besides this, though.

New work hours are great,  the job itself is a whole lot easier most of the time.
Only downside is that I get a hell of alot less hours.

On another note, I now have windows 7. I managed to import both FF bookmarks and Itunes library, so I'm pretty happy at the moment.

Some people I have to deal with at work just plain drive me round the friggin' bend. Not just work colleagues, but third party people. Some things you would expect to be a simple task are obviously not that simple. I mean, how difficult can it be to make a change in a router's configuration to allow traffic to certain url addresses?

Sometimes the simplest of things can drive one crazy!

I have people that I have explained a hundred times: "you have to click this desktop icon to go where you want.  I put it on your desktop so you can get there"  and, invariably, I get a call that they can't figure out how to get into that application.  "Did you click that icon?" I ask.  "Oh, was I supposed to do it that way?  The other way doesn't work".  "Yes," I say, "that is why you have the icon for the way that works."

Gah.

Not even close to me, sadly. But I'll keep an eye on it - Bell has notoriously bad service, but 170 mbps? That's just sick. I'd pay for that.

If it was down to me to fix, I'd have it done. But our company pays this other company loads of money to supply, maintain and fix all of the routers in all of our stores (we don't have the passwords to get into these routers). Therefore making a change is down to them and it is a real struggle to get them to do it.
