Well, yes, I can understand that.

I see the Xmas commercial, where the guy comes all the way from Africa to be home with his family who he hasn't seen in years, to spend Xmas morn with them.  That makes me want to drink coffee... nothing like an international flight, and showing up at the family's pad at 6am on Xmas day to make coffee be the thing on the top of your mind.

LOL folgers xmas adds are awesome. Johnny comes home from college, his little sister wakes up, "Johnny!" "Shh, where's everyone else?" "They're asleep." "I know how to wake them up!" Makes a folgers which fills the house with a great aroma. Cut to the mom in bed, smells the coffee, wakes up, goes down stairs and hugs her son. THE END. WTF? Where is EVERYONE else?! Who is "THEM?" Are they dead? are they in the basement? the closet? WTF Folgers? W...T...F.

Oh, 'them' is the mythical council of elders.

How bout the one where the dad gives the daughter a cup of coffee cause she 'came home late' and she says she's getting married.  Then the dad says 'yeah, i know'.  Spoil sport.

The best part of wakin up is folgers in your cup.
OK, just let me Google what the hell a "folgers" is.

Edit: No I am wise to what a "folgers" is....a cup of Assam tea - with a hint of milk - is the best.

Haha!  You Brits and your tea!  (is 'Brit' an acceptable term?)
You can call us what you like. :D

No, Brit is fine. I have no issue with that.

One guy emailed the place I work and complained because the option he had to select for country was "United Kingdom". He forgot to report his actual problem.

Some people.

Hah! Reminds me of yesterday's biggest laugh. Our department (the Chemical Engineering one) has a department party mid-October. This week people are signing up on a list. For convenience one is required to mention any allergies (the caterers would like to know that). One of the professors wrote the following in that field: "Some people"  :D

Dirty harry 2. It was pretty funny at some cases.

I think I like watching old movies. Pointing out the flaws and laughing at some parts make it a whole lot more fun, because I really am spoiled by all the special FX and editing of this age.

It is amazing though some of the special effects they were able to create before all this advanced computer technology. Look at Star Wars and the first 2 Alien movies.
