I'm getting a delivery of wood tomorrow - ready for me to chop it up for my wood-burner. Best part about coming home on a cold winters day - is lighting the fire.


And - @EW & Wasted: I had that beer for you - whilst watching the second half of the Man U/Bolton game. Funny thing is that despite living 300 odd miles south of Manchester, most of the punters there were Man U fans. You would never get that many fans of any other team so far from their own back yard.

Is it really that common in England to support one of the big clubs, when your own town/village does not have a Premiership club itself? So that you'll find fans of Man Utd, Liverpool and other big clubs in every medium-sized town all over England?

And how was the situation prior to the Premier League (with the massive increase in TV coverage that followed)?
