Looking at its live premiere once again from the front row, goddamn if Senjutsu ain't a helluva song, but all the same I somewhat wish Iron Maiden had a capable backing vocalist. Imagine those vocal harmonies supporting Bruce on that song. He's doing an admirable job by himself but it'd just be the thing to provide that missing icing on the cake, y'know?

Adrian is quite a good singer.

What do you mean?
When Maiden England was just underway in 2013 after Doug Hall quit and live sound was utter crap, they quickly put out a similar video in which Bruce praised the sound and how good it was (as if he was in the audience to hear it). In Sweden people even demanded their money back. They kept the FOH guy throughout the tour nevertheless and pretented everything was fine

Four days after Zagreb show, with cool head and after watching many videos on Youtube, I still
think that band is really enjoying performing Senjutsu songs the most. After first three songs they go on autopilot
until the end, and they even don't try to hide it. It is like "lets finis this legacy story as soon as possible and move on to our new stuff"
I know that Legacy was big succes for them, but it now last for to long and they got new album wich they obviously are very
proud of. My impression is that on next Senjutsu tour we will again have Maiden in mood and excitment from 2018. I'm not complaing on anything. I had amazing time, and my two sons 9 and 13 yars old were overhelmed with expirience. For me this is best concert of my life because they were there with me and my wife. For my sons best songs was TWOTW and Trooper by far. My wife say best part of the show was Revelations- Blood brothers section. For me Senjutsu part and SOTC turned to be best parts of the show. And now can you imagine how hard is for Maiden to
please us all, when just four of us have totally different view and feeling about the show.

I remember going to my first Maiden show with my dad when I was 12 years old, it is a lifelong happy memory for me, I'm sure it will be the same for you guys!

That's true, it's neither full-on Senjutsu nor full-on Legacy, so each part feels incomplete in itself, and the rough seam between the two just kills the flow.

Which makes the decision to continue the legacy tour into North America a real odd decision, they didn't have to add new dates there and continue dragging it out.

They could have easily had the Senjutsu stage ready for the second half of the year, the basic idea is already being used. How hard can it really be to transition to a new show a month after ending legacy in Europe? With better planning they could have easily spent a couple of weeks jamming the entire new album and having the show ready to go.its not as tho they havnt done that before gimme ed into dance of death the same year for example.

Now they are gonna have to. Be in auto pilot longer because of there own doing

I know Dave isn't quite as popular as Adrian nowadays. But man, can we just appreciate how fast he still is on the guitar at 65? We talk about Bruce or Nicko slowing down or showing signs of aging in their performance. But if there's anyone who hasn't lost an ounce of energy, intensity and speed, it has to be Dave.

I would prefer - at this stage in their career, if they did one best of tour and then a "new material' one.

One might say that this is what they are doing....but I do not think this is completely true. I dont see why we need to have the same songs closing the set. NOTB, RTTH,IM, The trooper and so on.....were played to death already.
Sure Tallica play the standard tunes but they play 2:30 hours shows. Sometimes even longer than that. they also play around with the playlist from gig to gig. So it shouldn't be that difficult after all, who really cares about the backdrops in 2022.
All in all the new show is ok , but it has been years since I lost my interest in the same old songs.
