Roadies earn a wage unlike the band who earn from ticket/merch sales. When the band aren't touring some roadies will work with the band in the studio or solo gigs (like Smith/Kotzen or BL) and the rest probably either jump on another tour or do something else.I think one song from Senjetsu would be enough, surely no one wants to hear 3 songs from it over Where eagles date/ 2 mins 2 midnight.
Also, slightly off topic but does anyone know how contracts work with guitar/drum techs? When the band isn't touring are they being paid or is it up to them to find alternative employment? Or maybe the work they do for the band is enough that they don't have to work in between tours ect.
During lockdown some bands did live-streamed fundraisers for their unemployed crew.
