Legacy of the Beast Tour Second Leg Rumours & Discussions

Scorpions and Maiden is a great package.

I’m not really seeing how three legs of LOTB is a foregone conclusion. Let’s just wait and see what happens.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't go to a German one either. And when I say I am not a pig I am refering to the weather and only the weather. For me festivals are only for the south of Europe. Sunshine, warm weather and cold beers.

Aww, but that's no fun. First time I was at Wacken, there was a storm on the second night that caused the whole place, which is a cattle meadow, to drown in mud and my friends' party tent to collapse and become unusable. All my clothes got muddy and the rest of my stuff got soaked , but at least there's a story to tell!

Journalists from Argentina state Iron Maiden (as headliner) and The Scorpions (Special Guest) are going to tour South America together in October 2019. They'll visit Brasil (multiple shows), Argentina (probably 2 gigs in Buenos Ares and Cordoba), Chile (Estadio National de Santiago), Peru (Estadio National) and Colombia (prob. Simon Bolivar Park). Probably no chances for Oceanian or Asian leg of the tour.

If scorpions tour with maiden in the NA there is nothing that will stop me from seeing them

We know only the strong suggestion (rumour) regarding to South America and just nothin' more about the North one. I suppose Maiden play 12 - 15 shows in Europe/UK - mostly the big festivals as Rock am Ring/Rock im Park, Download in France, UK and Spain, BCN Fest in Barcelona, some Scandinavian and few soloed shows around the continent: Serbia, Romania, Russia or so. In the second half of the July they may start playing in North America incl. Mexico date/es and from the end of September till last week of October heading onto the South America with Scorpions and maybe even Megadeth (just the optional nothing to suggest) . 55 - 60 dates around the world. Legacy of the Beast Tour deserves spectacular live events schedule.

Because of the title: World Tour. If Maiden name a tour World Tour they usually play Europe.
Did they name it "world tour"? On ironmaiden.com it only says Legacy of the Beast tour.

And they already did Europe, so it is a world tour even if they skip Europe this year.

The press release for RIR said Legacy Of The Beast World Tour.

It seems that it has been changed since... Maybe they wanted to get EF1 again, but it was too expensive?

We'll see.

In a telephone interview with a Brazilian newspaper, Bruce Dickinson, talking about the participation of IRON MAIDEN at Rock In Rio, he confirmed that there will not be an Ed Force One for the world tour in 2019. The reason is simple, says the frontman: the production of the Legacy Of The Beast Tour is so big that it is not possible to place it all in one Boeing 747.

Few times in Europe this year Bruce's mentioned about "seeing you next year" - the spoken promise... So, we think they 'll be back soon.

I'm always skeptical when a band says this. All I'll take from Bruce saying "see you next year" is that Maiden will be touring next year, not necessarily in that specific region, and that he expects many of the fans from that show to see them somewhere.

He could well have been telling that to those fans at the barrier that will travel anywhere to see the band next year.

On the topic of Download Festival, they have been pretty quiet so far compared to other festivals, haven't they? I remember Maiden's headline slot in 2013 being announced in September and their 2016 headline gig was announced 3 years ago.
