He does, but it is an easy mistake to make when translating the equivalent French or Spanish word into English.

I commend his English; it is much better than my French!
And mine! I was just correcting what I assume was an honest mistake in what I hope was helpful manner.

I've heard (not necessarily reliably) also that English is the only language to have different words for sex and gender, which is brought into discussions about gender identity. This is obviously not relevant to Maiden Chat but I'd love to read what @Ziggyplayedguitar has to say on the topic.

Sorry if my post looked as if I was implying you were correcting him in an unhelpful manner; I forgot to add a smiley!

As someone who speaks Spanish and French I was just pointing out that I understand how that mistake can be easily made by a non-native or non-bilingual speaker, that's all. :)

Nah he could just slow it down and reduce the count of double hits like he does with The Trooper. If he can do WED each and every night on this tour then I've no doubt about it; he could do CSiT too.
CSIT is much harder for the drummer than WED.

@Lego already said why. I did too.

Come on, what does genre has to do with technical habilities ? Many women are great guitar players, and some are more gifted than well know male guitarists.
This is rather sexist. The gender of the guitar player is unrelated to how well they play.

Woah, you went too far guys - I just wanted to say that it is a lame excuse ! According to me, Adrian is the best guitarist ever and I gave an example with the Iron Maidens female band, because they are probably the most well known Maiden cover band and they have played ATG live. I'm sure there are very good female guitarists, Courtney Cox is one of them, but I think the best guitarists in the world are men.

Who went too far ?

p.s. just kidding, to be clear.

I'm not.

Someone's gender has no impact on how well they play guitar. The difference is in areas of opportunity. Hard rock and heavy metal guitarists tend to be the most technically proficient guitarists in the world, though not necessarily the best (as that's really a matter of taste). You just don't see that many women entering the field of "hard rock/heavy metal guitarist". I can name a handful of big-name ones. Lzzy Hale, Nita Strauss, Lita Ford, to some extent Joan Jett. I could rattle off a list of probably 50+ heavy metal guitarists of note without thinking. Metal has always been closed to women unless they enter as a highly attractive, extremely skilled vocalists. It's not a fair playing field.

+1 :ok:

What about bass-guitar? Does that aspect of a metal band seem more open or equally closed?

I can't name a single female bassist in hard rock/heavy metal. That's not the only benchmark, but I do believe it's quite rare.

The man asked "what is your favorite solo to play ?" and we should expect H's answer soon. My bet is on 2M2M or Wicker Man.

Whether Adrian has answered any of the questions ? I checked the Instagram page, but nothing. o_O

Really? They seem to be not too uncommon, but perhaps since the bass is typically the instrument that gets the short end of the stick it becomes even harder to remember them.
