You can never have enough Maiden......Right. That's enough Maiden for now. Detox time.
They might not want to be associated with the tiny minority of far right supporters that are making use of that flag for political reasons.
If you live in England did you not see the vast amount of St.George flags on display during the recent World Cup?
They were all over the place, flown by inhabitants of this fair Isle of all Colours and creeds (thankfully). And anyway the "Far Right" are more likely to be seen waving Union Jacks...(Britain First, The British Movement etc..) so I fail to see why they would not use the Cross Of St.George whilst playing in England?

I do live in England and I did see that. As you say, thankfully flown by people of all colours and creeds.
However, sometimes the flag has - sadly - been hijacked by the far right. I bumped into a far-right demonstration not long ago in London whilst there with my wife and daughter and seeing St. George's flag being flown by those EDL supporters was sickening.
It's a bit odd if they did do it for every other country. I'd find it hard to believe that Maiden would be bothered byslightly obscure EDL associations, though. I mean, country fetes, crappy little St George's Day activities sessions for kids, re-enactors, and football fans, probably make much bigger use of the English flag than the EDL.While I am not English and have no affection for the English flag I think it's unfair that people from Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Scotland etc. got to see Bruce waving their flag but English people didn't. I understand why any choice of flag in Northern Ireland would be considered controversial but there is not a similar reason to omit the English flag. This is something that needs explaining from the band. Is anyone going to any British Lion shows or Rock N Roll Ribs?

I have found an article that celebrates Bruce 60th birthday and according to the description, he chooses his 12 best songs with Maiden (with a Trooper beer of course ): https://www.gigwise.com/features/32...ickinson-the-12-best-iron-maiden-songs-ranked
These are the 12 best Maiden songs with Bruce on vocals according to the writer of the article. Not Bruce's picks.
The article does not say that Bruce chose the songs, rather than Gigwise toasts Bruce Dickinson with a pint of Trooper ale and a selection of his 12 best songs with the mighty Iron Maiden…
That means that the list is chosen by Gigwise.
He wore that during 'The Clansman'.
