Unless it’s Glenn Tipton or K.K. Downing, I don’t know from JP guitarists.
He is the guitar player they brought in when KK decided to retire, in 2011. More recently, Tipton -who has written and played on the album Firepower (2018)- was replaced on tour by producer and Sabbat guitarist Andy Sneap because he suffers from Parkinson's (he manages to come out on stage and play the encores once in a while).

Slow ticket sales could be attributed to a couple of things. I think the biggest thing is that folks in the U.S. aren't used to shows going on sale almost a year in advance. That's way too far out to plan, especially if you have to travel for a show. I still haven't bit on a ticket because most of the airlines aren't showing their schedules and prices that far out. If I don't know what my travel budget is, I'm sure as hell not gonna jump on a $100+ ticket that I may or may not be able to use. And, also, that the pit tickets are "use 'em or lose 'em" certainly doesn't help with that, either.
I know I'm grumbling an awful lot that they are skipping a major metropolitan area with a huge population and stable fanbase (Denver) on this tour. But... I don't mind traveling for a show, and it would be fun... but... I'm not willing to spend $500 in tickets and travel to see Maiden. I love them... but... for fkk's sake... that's too rich for my blood this time around.
I hope everybody has an amazing time at their shows, though.
Up the irons, etc.
I’m kinda the same way. I’m going to try and travel (Montreal seems to be a lock at this point) but I’m not looking at purchasing tickets until after Christmas. People are going to wait until they can make more concrete plans, see what other bands are touring, etc. there are a lot of dates so there’s no rush to buy tickets. If a show sells out, you have other options.

She’s not bad though. The songs I’ve heard from her were pretty good.

Maiden have had worse given that she opened up with UFO's Natural Thing, I'd rather hear that than full set's by most of the bands Maiden have had as support e.g. Murderdolls, FFAF or KSE

I don’t recall his exact comments but Raven Age’s singer seemed a little self conscious about playing to Maiden fans at the Vegas show but more humble at the Tacoma show.

KSE? Please God, no.

I want Alter Bridge to open for Maiden some day.

They have a new singer now. Isn't he Adrian Smith's son?

Killswitch were fine and have at least earned the right to be there. How the hell can Alter Bridge possibly support Iron Maiden when they headline the same venues? Ridiculous suggestion! Pretty much as ridiculous as the Priest/Maiden co-headline tour.

Regarding Lauren Harris: no, thanks. She was pretty mediocre to say the least when I saw her opening for Maiden in London in 2006.

I saw Maiden four times, the two most recent ones being in a festival (Hellfest 2014 and 2018). Though the conditions were less comfortable than in an arena, it was still more pleasant having Murderdolls or Trivium (GMETID and DOD 03) open for my favourite band.
