Hope I'll live to see itNo no, I've instilled the love of singing into the hearts of millions! One day you too can be here!
To Tame A Land is one of Maiden's best and heaviest songs, @Zare is totally right about it.I can understand why someone would like TTAL - especially since I love The Apparition - and I can understand why someone would dislike ATG's lyrics, even if I don't. But to say that the execution is horrible? Wow.
Yes, I understand that, but others aren't as vague as to the plot of the original work. "Rime..." lays out the plot very well. "Quest For Fire" (as dumb as it might be) does to. As does "Still Life", and pretty much every other Maiden lyrics of the same style. "To Tame a Land" seems to have been written only inside the context of the book, it does nothing to pull you into the plot (as the song doesn't even describe one properly) and thus makes zero sense to those who are almost complete strangers to the plot of Dune.I don't think that's any excuse. Maiden has countless songs that are derived from another work (like Rime) and I still find those lyrics enjoyable.

Lynch took over two hours to tell you the plot & that made no fucking sense either. Pretty hard in seven minutes....and thus makes zero sense to those who are almost complete strangers to the plot of Dune.

I never thought of this before, but To Tame A Land's lyrics are similar to Alexander's, in that it's mostly an outpouring of information on a particular topic rather than decent storytelling or observations.
Don't assume that others make assumptions, when they might just be utilizing available informationDon't assume Brig's gender.
That's reserved for the Queen, isn't it?Pretty sure it's "ma'am" to you.
