Re: Judas Priest Survivor: Nostradamus disc 2 round 4 (Feb 2-4)
I've now listened to all the remaining songs (except Exiled and Visions), and I conclude that there is too much awesome left for me to use logic and reason to choose between the rest.
The track Nostradamus, for example, revisits Painkiller in a very ear-pleasing way. It also has a very enjoyable instrumental part starting at about 5 minutes. Both Alone and Future of Mankind are also powerful and wouldn't have been out of place on earlier Priest albums. However, these songs are up against a lot of quality. Extreme quality. The 10 surviving songs from before Nostradamus contain so many great moments it's hard for me to think about voting any of them out.
I actually think it was easier with Maiden. The last 5-6 songs stood out from the rest. Not so here - I think the 13 songs that remain if one excludes Exiled and Visions are very even.
Thus, my choices here will be:
Exiled
Visions
Painkiller (just because noone else is going to vote for it - it's going to stay in the game and I buy myself a bit more time to think about the next song to go)
