I'm sure people will jump on 'Can I Play With Madness?' the second we open up for Seventh Son  :(

At least then I may stop picking on Phantom.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Caught Somewhere in Time
Wasted Years
Stranger in a Strange Land

I'm hoping Wasted Years and Stranger is going before the next round. Caught Somewhere in Time is my personal favourite on that album ;)

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Hell, I can't let POM be without songs in the next round. Tame a land of wasted years at 2 minutes to midnight.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

How on Earth can To tame a Land survive and the Trooper cannot ?

I don't understand.

It boggles the mind.
POTO, Children of the Damned, To Tame a Land.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Alexander The Great - killed off too quickly by hands of fools
Alexander The Great - never returns because these are the rules
Alexander The Great - it is not wished in the setlist, man!
Alexander The Great - died of voting on Maidenfaaaaaahahahaaaaaannnnns ...

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

It is outrageous. Simply outrageous. The world is not right.

By the way, 2 minutes to bedtime.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

At last !! We got rid of the Trooper  :)

23:58, CSIT, Wasted Years

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Phantom, 2 Minutes, CSIT. Can't let WY or SIASL get killed.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Sorry, Genghis. The majority of the voters seems to only appreciate the poppy singles (one of them will survive and get to the next round).

I hope you're not talking about the current 14 songs? They are all classics and I wouldn't mind a concert setlist consisting of these 14. I would, in fact, be over myself with joy.

No, how can To Tame A Land be on the list. It's their worst song in the golden era!

To Tame A Land, Phantom Of The Opera and Powerslave

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

Phantom and children had a revelation.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

I notice that now only two songs have no votes. Who will be the first to vote for one of these and when will it happen?

My guess is that Rime will get its first votes at some point in the SSOASS round, but will survive safely - Hallowed will not get voted for until we reach the last 3 albums.

If people only appreciated the poppy singles, then why do people keep voting for Wasted Years? ;)

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

To Tame a Land, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Stranger in a Strange Land.

Jeez.

I was talking about the songs of the album Somewhere in Time.
All the non-poppy tracks (the non-singles) -apart from the opening track- were voted away before Wasted Years. So the majority of the voters like the poppy singles the most.

edit:
I really wonder which 10 eighties songs will meet the nineties.
Plus: Will one (or more) of these disappear? I guess we're really going to see a huge contrast between these decades.

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor: Somewhere In Time round 5 (Sep 18-20)

A couple of notes:

1. Mariner and Hallowed are the only two songs that have not received a single vote yet, from what I saw.
2. It looks like Aces High, Revelations, SIASL and Powerslave could also make it to the 90s.
