Seriously - I have considered doing what you suggest, and if I start a new survivor game in the future I might include a rule similar to that. But I'm not going to change the rules mid-game.

In fact, seeing some things about how these are going, I've come up with a few different rules for the future. For example: in the future, no song can be eliminated with just one vote against it. Not having that rule now allowed the song 2112 to be killed early in the Rush game.

Again, to clarify: the rules are NOT changing now. This game stays the same. I'm only talking about hypothetical future games.

I should add that I actually did what gulranek suggests at the start of this series. I never really pointed it out, but Sun And Steel won the first round. However, Quest For Fire was only one vote behind. It had something like 11 votes, and the next closest song had something like 3. Since there was no question Quest For Fire would have won the next round, I killed it at the same time as Sun And Steel (though Quest did get ranked higher in the results part of the first post).

F*ck I noticed that. :) There are quite some Maiden songs I like less than QFF. I never voted for this one.
(Since this game is not only about the final result), I seriously wanted to let QFF survive longer than Sun and Steel but you prevented that.    *With a Nicko accent*: "Don't you evah do that again!"  ;)

Perhaps for the first time we're having quite an exciting competition. All albums can be affected, apart from the debut (those two songs seem save). How will this end tomorrow?

Only Hallowed (no surprises here) gets the same affection.

Yes, it seems that Hallowed will stick to the end. I fear that people will go with it just because it's 'offically' the best Iron Maiden song. I can think of a few song that's on the same level.
