The Longest Day, For the Greater Good of God, The Legacy, Out of the Shadows and Brighter than a thousand Suns are the best songs of AMOLAD and The Longest Day would be the 1st or 2nd best of that album. To me!

The whole song is immense though, from the ominous intro with that massive build-up to explosive action that came with the landings in Normandy, the evocative and chilling lyrics, the fantastic instrumental break with glorious harmonies... An absolute cracker of a war epic!
