The X Factor is easily Maidens heaviest album. When I first heard it in 95 it took me a couple of weeks to really appreciate it. I can honestly say that those Blaze years were a very productive time for Maiden and a number of amazing songs came from that era.
Dark times equal dark music and introspective, truthful songs.
Back on topic, I reckon new Maiden album to be released in late Autumn 2019.
