I don't think that is an argument. There are so many products that (slightly) alter the colour of your hair, not only dye.
If it is an old photo, I wonder why the site used it. A photo from the time he promoted his last album would be much more appropriate than a photo from the TBOS time.

Btw in the promotio chat of his book i assisted he said that he is not going to dye his hair because he thinks its part of getting old and he doesnt care.
