It's 100% AI. Is it meant to be serious or is it satire?A hilarious video about Iron Maiden in Chile 1992. A lot of AI picture.
Already posted by myself three days ago.AI applied to Maiden (not as dumb as the usual output)
Full 'Powerslave' revisited... It's surprising and funny at the same time (and those faces).
All of which leads to the inevitable question – the dreaded one – just how long can Maiden keep going?
Dickinson ponders this thoughtfully: “I don’t know. For at least the next five years, anyway. In 2008, when we’re planning to take out the ‘Powerslave’ stage set again, I’ll be 50. And I’m the baby of the band. By the time I’m 55, Nicko will be 60. And you have to ask whether we’ll still want to tour. I’m not saying that we wouldn’t carry on recording, but… for me, the bottom line has to be that we’ll stop the moment all of us realise that we can’t maintain our own high standards. To do anything else would be to compromise – and that’s not the Maiden way.”
"but… for me, the bottom line has to be that we’ll stop the moment all of us realise that we can’t maintain our own high standards."Something interesting from a 2010 interview. Bruce mentioning continuing to record after the band stop touring.
I've always written off this idea despite Steve's recent comments, but if Bruce has the same mindset than I'm a bit more optimistic.
I still doubt it, and especially since Bruce has resumed his solo career, but we'll see.Something interesting from a 2010 interview. Bruce mentioning continuing to record after the band stop touring.

Only Nicko and not because of age. He plays faster than 2022! Some of the performances were rough then, but that's normal for a classic band and without touring for a couple of years. Despite everything, I think the band sounds more than good live now."but… for me, the bottom line has to be that we’ll stop the moment all of us realise that we can’t maintain our own high standards."
But they are not anymore, so they should have stopped in 2019. But why would they. They are going on their biggest tour ever next year.
Playing fast without groove and speeding up at the same time is way worse than slowing down a bit to maintain groove in a song.I still doubt it, and especially since Bruce has resumed his solo career, but we'll see.

I have had to dial down a bit over there.Comments like this could get you banned at the official Fan Club forum!
Joking aside, it has to be extremely difficult to know when to stop for not maintaining high standards, especially when there is so much money involved.
What about power metal?Playing fast without groove and speeding up at the same time is way worse than slowing down a bit to maintain groove in a song.
I think every musician would agree with this point.
All kinds of comments have been made over the years. Especially such about the best new albums, we all know why. I think the band knows and feels they still put on a good show, I doubt it's about money. They just love what they do and try to do it for as long as possible. As Bruce said in the long interview shared above - he takes a lot of pride in what he does and if he can't deliver (obviously talking about some time in the past), he wanted to help the band to find a new singer because the music is the most important in Maiden. He also mentioned that after a show they discuss the parts of songs they think they didn't played well enough that night.Yeah, it's impossible, and I would expect them to be very excited about next year in particular. I wouldn't stop, no way. But comments like that may not age well.
Not the first time he says that the last years. To me it sounds like he is telling us Maiden will, or he wants to, replace members if needed to keep it going. As Bruce said in the long interview shared above - he takes a lot of pride in what he does and if he can't deliver (obviously talking about some time in the past), he wanted to help the band to find a new singer because the music is the most important in Maiden

Idk, maybe (even more so if he replaces Roy in the studio as well), but I can't see that about all members, especially Steve and Dave. But they always say they are like family. And I think the band is trying to help (Adrian!) and ofc support Nicko. Hits or not, they should do that with some songs too.Not the first time he says that the last years.
