Iron Maiden confirmed on the "Download TV Festival" - June 12-14

Actually I forgot that they already published a live version of Run to the Hills from Legacy of the Beast:

Flight of Icarus already published, too.

MAYBE if they feel adventurous, it'll be For the Greater Good of God, which is the only track out of the setlist which does not have an official live release.

This live version of RTTH from LOTB tour starts the right way but then during the solo ('till the end) shows footage from other songs - this is not a proper live video. FOI live video was properly edited (as opposite to the editing in TBOS: Live Chapter) - no footage from other shows/switching guitars. This is the right way for me.

About the exclusive track from LOTB - I hope it will be FTGGOG (but not from RIR). But there must be also some more videos from past Download Festivals, because the announcement says ''over an hour''.... the interviews with Nicko and Rod should be (at most) 10 minutes.

P.S. To release a live video for a song from the latest tour is the big surprise/exclusive?.... no comment!

That Run to the Hills is live and taken from Legacy of the Beast tour.
Means it’s a live version of Run to the Hills from Legacy of the Beast tour. That’s it.

Yeah, but to be fair, using footage from different shows, guitar switches and whatnot are pretty much an editing tradition already. Even rather carefully edited Flight 666 and En Vivo! had takes from different shows within one song etc. :D

True, but in Live Chapter is too much imo.

What about Download 2007? I remembered that Bruce said that show was recorded for live a DVD. Maybe it is time for some pro.footage.

I am so jelaous of Metallica fans and what band is served to them. Every week a free show on YT.

Sabaton also, every week they put one live song from the last tour with decent production, and great live sound.

But Rod and Steve....just nothing.

Maiden always did that. Even Rock in Rio is not footage from a single show. But usually, these things will only be spotted with repeated watchings and by people who pay close attention. With TBOS, it was very blatant to the point that it was distracting. It was obvious that whoever edited it didn't care because it was only going to be for online streaming and nobody would ever pay any money for watching it. They probably would have given a minimum amount of shit if it would have gotten a physical release or been available for paying customers only.

Let’s face it: regardless of what Rod’s PR might have said over the years, Steve’s attention to detail and quality control leave a lot to be desired.
