@Black WizardThis is an instrumental by British Prog-Metal band Splintered Soul. I first heard this about 6 years ago before they got a singer.
Welp, we forgot classical music, this survivor is dead without it.
I'm actually just having a look at the list on post #1. Did we really need to have mutiple tracks by so many bands/artists? Fair enough in some cases e.g. Pink Floyd &/or Maiden. But, five Joe Satriana tracks?!
Hmmm. Considering Satriani is an instrumentalist (in the main) & Maiden have rarely recorded without a vocal/lyric, that's not really surprising. I actually don't care how many Maiden have in there (Maiden's intrumentals are hardly stellar examples of their songwriting anyway), I just think five Satriani tracks is too many. But, hey ho; Foro asked & that's what folks suggested.Considering that most Satriani songs are better than any Maiden instrumental, I say YES!
Some of those have really good crossover appeal too. Hopefully even the pure metal fans around here can appreciate the heaviness/intensity of Birds of Fire.Exactly. I had doubts over suggesting jazz pieces as well, but I wanted people to hear them so I did bring them on.
I could have picked any number of his more acoustic instrumentals (which you'd probably have liked more!), but I can't imagine any slow-burners will get very far in a song game. Not that it matters. Will do, Cried. Thanks!
