Iced Earth

Anyone in SoCal want a free Iced Earth ticket for the concert in Hollywood tonight (9/25)?  I can email it to you-it's an e-ticket.  I had an emergency appendectomy last night so I'm laid up in bed and can't use my ticket. 
 
Sad to see Schaffer hasn't given up on his "Sons of Liberty" crap, though.

It's a couple of pages back in this thread. Essentially, Schaffer became a rabid libertarian and pissed off everyone with a working brain. Check the site Onhell posted.
 
I like this band quite, but the "When the eagle cries" thing really struck me...in a negative way.
 
Matt Barlow is leaving Iced Earth again. He'll sing on all 2011 dates and then he leaves. Jon is searching for a new singer (I hope he brings back Ripper).

I think I'm going to cry :(
 
Ripper will never ever ever ever ever rejoin Iced Earth. Jon treated him so fucking badly.
 
Colour me surprised.

It's time for Jon to pack it in. Iced Earth has been a great band; he fucked up royally when he treated both Matt and Tim like dirt.
 
I was surprised that a new DVD comes out (or recently came out) featuring both singers.

Did he tell why he's leaving so soon already? Maybe he doesn't agree with Jon's raving paranoia.
 
That's too bad.

I don't mind that much about Barlow's departure(maybe a little  ).
Someone else will be found to fill in the singer's place.
What I do mind about is that it will take them even more time to release a new album.

The story will get much funnier if he ever joins IE for the 3rd time.  :P
 
I'm sure he will come back when his kids grow up :) he will come back in 6-7 years, mark my words.
EDIT: I forgot to say that Matt is married to Jon's sister, so I guess that Matt and Jon will stay in contact.
 
Ooh, a new chapter in the Iced Earth soap opera.

Somehow, I lost all interest in the band since Schaffer's Sons of Liberty amok run.
