Chinese Democracy has joined the battle!

Excuse me while I mourn over ISE and Locomotive.

Chinese Democracy (by far the weakest tune on the album imo)
Sorry (though it does have the most quotable lyrics!)
Scraped (killer vocals, though)

Fair warning: I am prepared to maim anyone who votes for TWAT, Better, Catcher, or Prostitute.

Just hearing the album for the first time and I am paying special attention to the songs you mention, KDH.
Unfortunately, on more than on a rare occasion I hear Axl's vocals are f**kin' autotuned. :/
Especially in Catcher in the Rye. I am sorry but I can't stand that. Bah! :puke:
(I was searching on the net and it seems I am not the only one thinking it was used.)

I like Better the best, because of its sensitive lead guitars. Great melody and feel, nice full rhythm guitars as well.

I think it'll be hard for you to like very much upon first listen. The album had to open itself up to me quite a bit. Especially Catcher and Prostitute (they're a bit more off-the-wall and Axl's vocal style in them is very . . . odd). I think upon first listen, the only songs I liked were Street of Dreams, TWAT, and This I Love, but TIL was kind of a cheesefest to me for awhile. :p

Autotune was used on quite a bit of the album. Ironically, Axl said he liked to use it because it "speeds up the album-making process." I don't think it was used that much in Catcher, though. His voice in that register has sounded really odd since 1999 (except in 2010). I'd say the absolute worst offenders of autotune are in Scraped (the four-octave "ah-ahs"), Riad (the "ahs" again), and Sebastian Bach's completely unnecessary backing vocals in Sorry.

Also my first time hearing this. Literally, I've only heard TWAT (which I love)
Initial impression was OK. Nothing said wow, but heard a lot that could grow.
Scraped, Beduoins and Sorry in a cautious first vote.
Going to have to try the others a few more times.

Definitely a grower. I like it a little bit more every time. Though I'm not a huge fan of the direction he took, I'm glad they're not doing the sleazy rock like on the first album. It's nice that they evolved. It'd probably be my #3 album.
