Use Your Illusion has joined the battle!

I love Use Your Illusion II. So much better than I.

Really? It has higher highs (Estranged, Breakdown, Civil War, Locomotive, YCBM), but it also has lower lows (My World, Shotgun Blues, KOHD, 14 Years, Get in the Ring). I've always found it the more inconsistent of the two albums.

Yes, I like it better. In fact, apart from Don't Cry, November Rain, Coma and Double Talkin' Jive, I don't think UYI I has anything to offer.

For me, the weaker songs (or fillers) on II are less weak than on I or at least: there are more weaker songs on I than on II.

Not sure about the heights yet. I find them all less high than most Appetite material.

I massively disagree. :p Appetite's my favorite album, but that's just based on cohesion and theme. I think UYI I has the best collection of GN'R songs overall (I'd score nearly every song a 10/10), and both the Illusions have the band's best songs.

Though I gotta admit there are so many things I hate about the Illusions. Matt's drum timbre, Axl's talking, Axl's talking

I like it too, but no one sings it better than Dylan himself...

And I'm voting it out simply because it is a cover song. I don't feel like it belongs in the competition of the top GNR tracks when it is not their own :)

Shotgun Blues gets a lot of "hate" in this round. I find it quite good. As opposed to lots of other GNR songs it's uncomplicated (and unpretentious) and still catchy with good riffs.

Much better than UYI I, which only has about 3 songs. This album has much less weak points, and even those songs are OK.

Count me in the group that prefers II.
But I've always considered a double album, rather than two separate albums anyway.

Not me. I heard II a couple years before I. Listening to I so long after just made me think that it was a bunch of leftovers. It should've just been one album.
