Guess The Iron Maiden Song!

Running Free, original single, maiden japan and live single
Correct!

Clue #1: Peter Gabriel was a bit more optimistic than the narrator of this Maiden song > on the very first Genesis album, back when Peter Gabriel was the singer, the song "A Place To Call My Own" starts with the line: "And I've nearly found a place to call my own", which opposes "I've got nowhere to call my own" in "Running Free".
Clue #2: The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking > according to IM Commentary, this song is about a hitchhiker going from place to place for the sake of thrills.
Clue #3: Stone deaf forever > in the Live After Death video, in the sing-along part, Bruce invites the crowd to sing so loud that "I wanna go back to London and be able to say 'Doctor! Los Angeles destroyed my hearing!" (from memory)
Clue #4: a matter of "tops" > "pulled her at the Bottle Top" + IM played the song live at Top of the Pops.
Clue #5: the song appears three times in the whole The First Ten Years collection (five times if you count the "Listen with Nicko"s).> @srfc has just given the answer above.

Your turn. :)

No

CLUE 2: An artist Maiden have toured with has a song on the very same subject matter.

Wrong guesses: Innocent Exile, Can I Play with Madness, Burning Ambition

No.

And just a little hint, I mean specifically the exact same subject matter, so for example, if Blood on the World's Hands had have been the correct answer, then the other band in the clue would have had to have a song about the Bosnian War, not just a song about war in general.

Also, that is just an example, the Maiden song you're trying to guess now could be about war too or it could not.

CLUE 3: It has been released as a live version

CLUE 1: Brother Clark

CLUE 2: An artist Maiden have toured with has a song on the very same subject matter.

Wrong guesses: Innocent Exile, Can I Play with Madness, Burning Ambition, The Fallen Angel, Blood on the World's Hands, Paschendale

Ding, ding, ding!

Holy Smoke

1. dunno
2. Ozzy Osbourne had song called "Miracle Man" written about Jimmy Swaggart on his album "No Rest For The Wicked" released in 1988. Holy Smoke was written about many televangelist scandals in USA and particularly about Swaggart as he's mentioned in the lyrics as Jimmy The Reptile.
I didn't check any other tours, festivals or concerts but Iron Maiden participated with Ozzy on Ozzfest-tour in 2005.
3. Live-recording (Wembley Arena, London, England, 17 December 1990) was released on b-side of "Wasting Love"-single.

We have a winner!

Clue 1 refers to the song "Send me your money" by Suicidal Tendencies, which is another track on the same topic. There's a section in the middle of the song where there's some bass solos, and just before they go back to the chorus the rhythm guitarist plays the main riff and is introduced with the phrase "now take 'em on home, Brother Clark"

Ok, I try this now. My first so..Im learning here.

clue 1. This was released as single, featured on compilation album(s) and hasn't been featured in the Maiden's setlist for while.
