Hi everyone.
Sorry if I upset some people with my comment but..... I felt that the score from that moment was not in line with the love I have interpreted for Night of the Stormrider in the last dozen years or so. I understand now (after searching the forum) Agent Orange has had some strong support, but I thought it would still be less than this iconic Iced Earth album.
I sincerely could not (and still cannot) imagine that Agent Orange is more popular than Night of the Stormrider, on this forum.
Good to see that the tide has changed. I should not have worried that much. It is still more popular.
So Magnus, I was more busy with estimated popularity than with being informed on the quality of the album itself.
You can say I suffer from bias in this duel because NOTS is one of my favourite metal albums.
I am not a big thrash fan myself (I do care for South of Heaven by Slayer, and a few Metal Church albums, and maybe one or two more by other bands, but for the most part the genre is not my thing), nor do I think the genre itself is more popular on this forum than love for a few IE records.
Iced Earth is melodic, the band is influenced by Iron Maiden. The band's music has been popular out here, not because they play reggae or chamber music.

Honestly, Empire, which is a fine album by a generally less impressive band, beating Blind Guardian's best album, and one of the top 3 power metal albums of all time, is absolutely ludicrous.
