"The song 'China White' by Scorpions delves into the disillusionment and despair that many feel in a world dominated by conflict and hatred. The lyrics open with a nostalgic reflection on better times, suggesting that the 'good times' seem irretrievable in the current state of the world. This sets a somber tone, highlighting the pervasive sense of loss and change brought about by the prevalence of evil and negativity.
The song's protagonist expresses a yearning for a place devoid of hate, but quickly dismisses the idea of escape as futile. This sentiment underscores the notion that running away from problems is not a solution; instead, the focus should be on confronting and addressing the issues head-on. The repeated question, 'How long will it take?' serves as a powerful rhetorical device, emphasizing the urgency and frustration felt by those who long for peace and understanding in a world marred by 'senseless wars' and conflict.
In the chorus, the lyrics shift towards a more hopeful and proactive message. The idea that 'the only future we've got exists right now' encourages listeners to seize the present moment and make positive changes. The song advocates for filling our hearts with love as a means to combat the pervasive negativity. The closing lines reinforce the personal responsibility each individual holds in fighting the 'evil in your mind' and spreading love. This message of personal empowerment and the transformative power of love is a central theme, urging listeners to contribute to a better world through their actions and attitudes."

I can't comprehend what went through Macron's head when he decided on this gambit. For those who hadn't understood: fascism is likely to come back in France.
Yes, like it does in Spain, in Germany, Poland, USA, etc... Fascism and nazism are coming back everywhere...For those who hadn't understood: fascism is likely to come back in France.
I can't either. Maybe it was a strategy to show that the far-right party is incompetent to govern a country like France if it got the power... In Italy, Georgia Meloni can't manage the country... People in Italy begin to see that the far-right fascist parties are incompetent.I can't comprehend what went through Macron's head when he decided on this gambit.

Fully agreed. It's one thing to disagree on how to allocate tax money, if we should prioritize new roads for example, or if we should put more money in education first. But to attack the rights of minorities? To disadvantage the lower and middle class so that the wealthiest people on the planet and the corporations can get more and more money for their desired infinite growth? Hell, to use lobbyism to desperately hold on to coal and fossil fuels, while preventing the wide-spread adoption of green energy, which in turn is slowly boiling our planet? None of that is reasonable, or something we can have "different opinions" on that should be respected. If there are two things I really hate are fascists and racists. Seeing them making a comeback makes my blood boil!
Or rather that democracy prevailed and people actually got off the couch and voted in face of the fascist spectre. Voter activation is key.Interesting, isn't it? It's like people have seen through populist noise-making
Thank you.Great News!
French reacted. Congratulations!
Nice news from France : finally, hate and racism didn't win.
Even better, the fascists came in third, instead of first or second.
Hopefully Germany will get its shit together and see similar results next year, but I'm worried that won't happen.
