I got it! Listened to the first 3 songs in the car. It's awesome, and Lost Not Forgotten is a carbon copy of Under a Glass Moon. It has to be.

I know just enough Deutsch to halfway get what that means, and it's probably something entirely ordinary, but for some reason that sounds funny to me. (Probably doesn't help that all-caps German sounds in my mind like a bad Hitler impression.)
 
It was working when he posted that. Maybe they're shutting it down as the release gets closer.
and Breaking All Illusions really is Learning to Live 2!

Well I listened to it, can't give it a ranking though. But it was really good, and it was even more like Images and Words than I had expected.

Finished ADTOE. Gotta say that the chorus of Build Me Up, Break Me Down reminds me of The Count Of Tuscany chorus.

My list needed some major fixing, so I did it - 101 songs (including all studio work, excluding covers, live versions & B-sides) were ranked from best to worst. My previous list (which I posted here, was just a base, nothing more)... :whogivesafuck:

I decided to giveThe Dance Of Eternity another chance, and thus it profited most. Jumping from #96 to #50! (from my least favorite instrumental to most favorite).

The list is a blasphemy anyway, so I won't post it. :bigsmile:, so I'll just note the worst 10:

#92 - Hell's Kitchen
#93 - Disappear
#94 - Burning My Soul
#95 - Lie
#96 - New Millennium
#97 - Two Far
#98 - Just Let Me Breathe
#99 - Your Majesty
#100 - 6:00
#101 - Another Won

I respect your opinion but how can 6:00 be that low, its one of my favourites from Awake :P
 
Hell's Kitchen sucks.  :ninja:
6:00 is awesome, and Another Win isn't the worst. You Not Me is easily the worst DT song.

It isn't too far behind after those.
 
Wut? 6:00 has one of the coolest drum intros ever. Disappear is a cool song but there is no way it falls in the lower DT rankings.
Also here is another "nugget" in Breaking All Illusions. The first verse modulates between 7/4 and 6/4. Just like the first verse in Learning to Live. And I think the intro is in 15/8, just like in Learning to Live.

I'm thinking these are all intentional. Nevertheless, it's a great album.

Only that. The rest sucks. I have nothing against Disappear, but all the rest are better.
Good find! I'll see if I can crack more similiarties.
 
That one came out and smacked me in the face. I think next time I listen I'll write them down and post 'em here when I'm done. Oh here's one. On the solo to Lost Not Forgotten, JP flutters the bar the same way he does in Under a Glass Moon.
 
Well I was actually expecting him to do that so I was watching for it. When I first listened I thought, "If this is UAGM's twin, then he has to flutter the bar on the solo". And he did.  :blink:
 
I had a song/albums rankings that I was gonna post but the window closed as I was almost done. :( I'm gonna finish it later.
