This might be the best group of eight songs in the game yet.
Three underdogs and Rush.

I would offer a body part to hear Maiden cover The Boxer. What a great song.

My votes:

Damn, I love this Bad Co song. Shame it goes up against my choice for #1. Sweet Child O' Mine
Good Journey song, but can't compete with the Zep. Heartbreaker
I don't like either song in the third, but I'll go Stones. Beast Of Burden
Rush bias! The Spirit Of Radio

That Bad Company song is lovely, but I do like Sweet Child. Pity.
Journey.
Radiohead, although I don't care for either song.
Rush. See, I don't completely dislike Rush, I just wish they didn't sound so jubilant all the time.

G'nR usually leave me cold, but I can't deny the rocking power of "Sweet Child o' Mine".
If "Heartbreaker" had an opponent, I didn't notice it.
Neither song is anything special, but I have more affinity for the Stones than Radiohead.
"The Spirit of Radio" is a good song for radio, I guess.

My votes:

Pink Floyd in the first two pairs, though the Metallica song is also good. Comfortably Numb, Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Never been a Traffic fan, although I think this is their best song. However, I've always loved this Styx song. Come Sail Away
I was expecting to vote for Hendrix, until I checked out the other. Holy damn. By far, Hallelujah

I'm with CFH on the Mountain song, but so it goes. "Comfortably Numb".
Floyd again.
The Traffic song is decent but interminable. "Come Sail Away" makes me smile because of that one South Park episode.
Buckley.
