Classic Rock Clue Game III - Round 5 part 3

Whoops, forgot about this.
180 Lucky Man — Emerson Lake and Palmer
176 LA Woman — Doors
174 Night Moves — Bob Seger
173 Lonely Is the Night — Billy Squier
I just can't piggyback 172. Thinking about the mental gymnastics that went in to those guesses makes me guilty.

One-day warning update!

#180: Something you'd want at a casino, or singles bar.
CFH, Mosh - Pink Floyd, "Money"
mckindog - ELP, "Lucky Man"

#179: Unofficial state anthem where Mosh and SMX live.
mckindog, CFH, Mosh - Joe Walsh, "Rocky Mountain Way"
#178:
TS_Bulloo.jpg
mckindog - Aerosmith, "Back In The Saddle"
CFH - Foghat, "Slow Ride"

#177: A request to not be treated badly.
mckindog, CFH - Tom Petty, "Don't Do Me Like That"

#176: Like "California Girls", but older.
mckindog, CFH - The Doors, "L.A. Woman"

#175: A song in time signature 7/4.
mckindog, CFH - Pink Floyd, "Money"
Mosh - Peter Gabriel, "Solsbury Hill"

#174: Chess after dark?
mckindog, CFH - Bob Seger, "Night Moves"

#173: Artist name is a musical instrument. Awkward is the grammar.
mckindog, CFH, Mosh - Billy Squier, "Lonely Is The Night"

#172: 16-letter title. The first ten letters of the title contain the same 4-letter combination twice. The last 6 letters contain the same 2-letter combo twice. You can spell the name of a Brad Pitt movie with the remaining letters.
Mosh - U2, "With Or Without You"

#171:
mckindog, CFH - Jethro Tull, "Locomotive Breath"

Once again: most but not all of the above are correct, for those who want to piggyback and get some free points.

172 was actually a lot easier than I expected once I thought about the criteria a bit. 16 letters is a relatively short title, especially with all the repeated letters, and I figured a 4 letter sequence would probably just be a repeated word or prefix. It took a bit of thinking to figure out which song fit this, and the only two I came up with were I Want You To Want Me and With Or Without You. Obviously one fit and the other didn't.

Bring on more of those sorts of clues SMX. :D

Round 3 results

New rules (and restart to scoring)!

Congratulations to Cornfed Hick on his victory over the first three rounds. He'll also have a head start on this round...

New rules:
On Thursdays, I will post ten new clues. I will then allow 48 hours for players to put in their initial guesses.

No more changing guesses if someone else has posted a guess for the same clue. You can change if your guess is the only one posted.

No more points for piggybacking: you get it right first or you get no points. It is now in your favor to guess a different song, on the chance that someone else is wrong.

After 48 hours, one point will be awarded for correct answers. For the other songs, I'll give another clue. The clues will be designed to keep it difficult; a second clue doesn't mean it gets easier. Another 48 hours for players to post guesses, and those are worth 2 points.

In a week we'll have time for three rounds of clues like this, with the final round being worth 3 points each. At the end, any songs which have not been guessed correctly are judged to be failures on my part as clue-maker, and everyone who made a final-round guess for that song gets a free point.

Question: Suppose a player's first guess on a song is incorrect, and no one else guesses it correctly, such that you give another clue. Is the player who guessed wrong based on the first clue precluded from changing his/her guess after the second clue? Put more bluntly, am I precluded from guessing on the seven songs I got wrong?

164. Billy Joel, "Piano Man"
163. The Everly Brothers, "Bye Bye Love"
162. Paul McCartney, "Band on the Run"

Not at all. Guess again!
