Bruce Dickinson

That's funny, this very thing caught my eye last week in a music store because of the sign that said ‘Metal’ on it. Only after that did I realise it was a Kazoo.

Regarding Bruce. Did we already know that he may also sing on Graham Bonnet's album?

To be fair, judging from the title of the article, we don't know what Bruce will do exactly on Bonnet's next album... :D

Roy Zs new post on Instagram shows the back cover of Tyranny of Souls & has abduction playing. He quotes “I not into the darkness in this album but I really like the music and not the dark”. Shots fired again & it sounds super childish now

What is this, he doesn't like new album's style, and who is to blame for his subpar guitar playing, comparing the two albums... the albums are like day and night. Meanwhile, Mistheria and Dave Moreno also shared a post about the album's anniv and called it great/masterpiece album, praising everyone involved and everything. They are proud. Judging by the comments, the album is very liked (as expected, like the two before it) and the fans want to hear more songs from it live.

Wow! The blood’s still boiling—and Leana doesn’t mince her words. It’d be really interesting to know what’s at the root of the problem between Bruce and Roy.

I don't know what started it, but I've heard some reports that when The (original) Mandrake Project tour band got together for some rehearsing, there were... raised voices and whatnot.

My guess is - again, just a guess - that perhaps Roy wasn't exactly in the shape for playing with the rest of the group? Again, he hasn't been very active with the touring for a long time and suddenly he was booked for a relatively extensive Bruce Dickinson tour... which he, eventually, wasn't able to do. His personal, and totally understandable reasons for not touring that much if at all have been often cited and that's fair enough, but all the more reason it's odd that he was suddenly very committed to do a long tour with Bruce until he, eventually, wasn't able to go out there at all.

There might very well have been some more or less professional disagreements with Bruce and him, but looking at how wild Roy's social media output has occasionally been, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Roy just not being in condition for such a tour effort and probably clashing with the rest of the group or something for some other reasons too.

I don't want to get into fruitless gossip too much, but you know, makes one wonder....

I don't understand the situation. What does Leana have to do with it at all if Roy wasn't in touring shape and seems so furious? It's clear that she makes the situation worse and draws more attention to it.
And would you really realise so late that someone is not in touring shape after the photos and tour announcement etc are all done?

Yeah, there's probably something else to it as well, something between Bruce & Roy on a personal level. Then again, even after the tour line-up changed, Bruce still talked about the back catalogue remix collaboration with him and all that, so there's probably a lot of stuff going on underneath...

Whatever it is about, I agree with the posters above: Leana should just leave it be.

Huh? What's that supposed to mean?!

Wow! Roy keeps putting himself out there. It's his own fault. I think the problem between him and Bruce is probably more than Roy not being in shape for a tour (realizing in the first rehearsals). Idk. He's not reliable, so Bruce will make the best decision. It's time to move on. And the song was written for the famous project, not Rob. The song is also co-credited, unlike four others. Since Bruce said they are working on the remixes (although who knows now), it seems like he's making another compromise. At this point, Roy should write his own material to prove himself if he wants. They both were writing so easily and like similar stuff/ideas. Bruce is right not to get involved, there's no point.

From what I understand from his social media, Roy is not a very balanced person. He shares too much and "weird" religious posts etc. I guess it was Roy who insisted on using only one guitar at the beginning of the tour. They probably realized this crazy idea wasn't working in rehearsal. I'm also guessing that Roy likes smokey heads, which may be part of the reason for his instability. Of course, this man's private life is not ours to talk about, but if it affects his professional life, we can say that Bruce is right. I don't think Leana could have written this without Bruce's permission either.
